At Future Self, we order stock in relation to demand, and is produced in small quality batches to avoid textile waste. Our products are all individually handmade, so this takes time to restock.

Some collections will be released as a limited quantity, and will unlikely be restocked. Keep up to date on new collections and restocks by joining our Text Club or email Mailing List.

Our clothing collections are produced in Turkey with some of our accessories from the UK and Hong Kong.

The cotton used in our clothing is picked from local cotton fields in Turkey. The cotton is then knitted in a place called Kahramanmaras. We prioritise keeping our supply chain as local as possible to reduce any unnecessary travel. Turkey is able to supply up to 65% of it’s export capacity from local Turkish cotton fields. The late summer season in particular is where you’ll see cotton fields all over Turkey. 

There are three different cotton quality types, we choose to use Penye, the highest quality cotton. This allows longer durability, no twisting or shrinkage after washing, and a softer hand feel. Alternative cotton qualities feel stiff and do not have long-term durability. A priority for Future Self is that our clothes last through the seasons, and become a wardrobe staple for years to come. 

We use locally sourced, high-quality cotton with an intricate knitting technique to ensure our clothing can stand the test of time and be worn again and again. 

We use 100% locally sourced cotton on the outer parts of our clothes, and a small part polyester on the inside, this ensures softness and durability. We add this small amount of polyester to keep the inside super soft and cosy.

One of our priorities when producing collections at Future Self is sustainability. We aim to only produce the right level of stock reflecting on demand, ensuring we reduce and minimise our textile waste. Any leftover stock (if any at all), we donate to a textile recycling centre, which then uses profits to fund community projects. When designing and producing our collections we ensure re-wearability.

Our clothing can be re-worn throughout the seasons and be a well-loved wardrobe staple. We encourage you to keep your Future Self pieces and continue to look after them and not strengthen the fast fashion mentality.
